Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our North America Design team. You will lead end-to-end design on major data center developments, deployments, phased expansions, or complex upgrades, ensuring safety, resilience and sustainability goals are met.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of data center project experience, deep cross‑disciplinary design knowledge, and the ability to mentor design managers while coordinating external consultants and internal

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing complex data center or mission-critical capital projects.
• Deep knowledge of critical-facility systems, codes/standards, permitting.
• Strong commercial awareness and leadership to mentor cross-functional teams.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design execution for major facility, campus phase, or complex regional programs from concept through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams and coordinate external consultants, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive risk management and value engineering while resolving technical, commercial, and program risks.
• Mentor Design Managers and elevate regional practices.
