Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Principal Design Manager to lead enterprise design for our data center programs. You will govern frameworks across regional and global teams, shape playbooks, and advise senior leaders on technical strategy and platform capability.

This role requires 15+ years of data center experience, a four-year engineering degree, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to travel up to 25%. Strong governance, communication, and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership in data center or mission-critical capital programs across multiple projects or markets.
• Deep technical expertise in critical-facility design with governance of multi-site programs.
• Executive presence to frame high-impact technical decisions for leadership and customers.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field; U.S. citizenship; travel up to 25%; professional licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise design leadership for major developments and multi-site programs.
• Shape global reference designs, delivery models, and playbooks from market trends and data.
• Advise senior leaders on design strategy, trade-offs, and long-term capability needs.
• Partner across Construction, Operations, Finance, and Security to build organizational capability.
