Job summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a Senior Design Manager for Federal and Special Projects to lead end-to-end design delivery for data centers and critical facilities across North America. You will guide cross-functional teams and manage complex programs from early site preparation through commissioning and handover.
The role requires 10+ years of capital project experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance, with up to 25% travel.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading complex data center or mission-critical capital projects.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance preferred.
- Deep understanding of critical-facility systems, codes, standards and permits.
- Travel up to 25% for project delivery and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design delivery for major facility builds and programs.
- Direct multidisciplinary consultants across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and controls systems.
- Lead risk, budget, scheduling, value engineering and change control governance.
- Mentor Design Managers and partner with Construction, Operations and Security teams.
