Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Principal Design Manager to lead enterprise design for our data center portfolio. You will govern multi-site programs, shape playbooks, and advise senior leaders on technical strategy and platform capabilities.

You will partner with Construction, Operations, Finance and Security to grow organizational capability while mentoring practitioners across regions. A 4-year degree and US citizenship are required, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience, leading major data center or capital programs across markets.
• Deep technical expertise in critical-facility design with governance of multi-site programs.
• Strong executive communication and judgment for high-impact technical decisions.
• Four-year degree in a related field; US citizenship and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise design leadership for major developments and multi-site programs.
• Govern global reference designs, delivery models, and assurance playbooks.
• Advise senior leaders on design strategy, trade-offs, and long-term capability needs.
• Build organizational capability by partnering across functions and mentoring teams.
