Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager – Federal and Special Projects to join our North America Data Center Design team. You will lead design for data center and critical facilities, oversee scope, and drive execution from concept through commissioning.

The role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain DoD clearance, extensive experience, and travel up to 25%. You will mentor teams and coordinate across internal divisions to deliver complex programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data center or mission-critical capital projects.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance.
• Experience implementing ICD 705 requirements into facilities.

Responsibilities

• Own full design delivery for major facility buildouts from site prep through handover.
• Direct consultants and align civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, security and operations systems.
• Lead risk resolution, budgets, schedules, value engineering, and change controls.
• Act as the principal design partner across divisions and mentor Design Managers to elevate regional design practices.
