The Critical Facilities Lead Engineer will serve as the on-site authority for electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems, leading the site engineering team to meet SLAs and KPIs while coordinating with vendors and clients.

This on-site role is based in Afton, TX, with relocation assistance. Salary range is $140,000–$155,000 per year plus a 10% annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in mission-critical mechanical and electrical environments.
• Experience in data center operations and high-availability systems.
• Knowledge of UPS, generators, cooling, and fire/life safety infrastructure.
• Formal electrical training and QQI Level 6 certification or equivalent.
• HV AP15 training and HV Authorized Person experience.
• Strong ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Proficient with CMMS and maintenance scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site Technical Operations Team to ensure safe, compliant maintenance and operations.
• Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and client stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Act as HV Authorized Person, issuing permits and ensuring HV work compliance.
• Provide on-shift technical coverage during critical events and planned interventions.
• Support 24/7 operational readiness through resource planning.
