Job summary

Black Box is seeking an experienced Data Center Construction Manager to lead onsite construction of high‑savvy, low‑voltage and fiber installations. You will own day‑to‑day safety, planning, and execution on large, complex projects while guiding field teams to deliver on schedule and quality at scale.

You will serve as the senior SME for data center cabling and ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA, NEBS, and customer specs, coordinating with PM and procurement to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5+ years of supervisory experience on large scale structured cabling or data center construction projects.
• Experience managing large, dispersed field teams (100+).
• Data center new build or retrofit experience preferred.
• Experience working with union telecom crews and labor compliance preferred.
• OSHA30 or ability to obtain within 6 months; BICSI TECH/RCDD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own Safety as Priority #1 and enforce safety culture.
• Direct Data Center Construction Operations including plans, schedules, and logistics.
• Ensure Technical Excellence & Standards Compliance (ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEBS).
• Lead, Mentor & Develop Field Teams (100+ technicians).
• Be the Customer’s Trusted Onsite Partner through meetings and site walks.
• Lead testing, commissioning activities and RFIs for scope changes.
