Job summary

Black Box in Bowling Green, OH seeks a senior Data Center Construction Manager to lead field teams on large-scale, structured cabling and low-voltage installations. You will own construction execution from planning through commissioning, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and strict quality standards.

This on-site, exempt role requires 3-5+ years of supervisory experience, OSHA compliance focus, and the ability to manage 100+ technicians; union experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years CM experience.
• Strong focus on safety and OSHA compliance.
• Knowledge of cabling standards, labeling & documentation.
• Rack, stack & infrastructure layouts.
• Quality control & punch-list resolution.
• Preventative maintenance & inspections.
• Direct on-site technicians performing rack, stack, and cabling work.
• Coordinate structured cabling installs, re-routes, and clean-ups.
• Monitor workmanship quality, labeling accuracy, and pathway management.
• On-site audits.

Responsibilities

• Own safety as priority #1; enforce accident-free culture.
• Drive development and implementation of project plans, installation strategies, and site logistics.
• Maintain and manage 5 week lookahead schedules, labor forecasts, and daily progress tracking.
• Coordinate with Project Management and Procurement for timely material delivery.
• Oversee daily field operations to meet production, budget and schedule milestones.
• Serve as senior SME for data center low voltage, structured cabling and fiber installations.
• Ensure ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEBS compliance and customer specs.
• Lead and mentor large field teams (100+); union or nonunion.
• Be the customer's onsite partner; participate in client meetings and site walks.
