Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to provide overall direction on projects and maintain strong relationships with owners and architects throughout the lifecycle. You will evaluate performance, site conditions, safety, quality, and manage trade partners to meet turnover requirements.

Responsibilities include leading field teams, coordinating with the Project Manager, and ensuring that pre-mobilization, scheduling, and safety plans are executed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline and experience relative to project size/scope.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in construction fields.
• Applicable area licenses.
• Excellent team development and leadership abilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle ambiguity.
• Ability to multi-task and balance budget and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day job site activities including OSHA safety compliance.
• Direct field personnel according to the project plan and Suffolk principles.
• Communicate issues and progress daily to the Project Manager.
• Report problems promptly to enable cost-effective solutions.
• Establish relationships with clients, team, subcontractors, and authorities.
• Lead planning meetings and ensure schedule updates and baselines are maintained.
