Suffolk Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee day‑to‑day site activities on K‑12 projects. You will lead field personnel, ensure safety and quality standards, and coordinate with the Project Manager and executives to keep the project on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline and related experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience on K-12 construction projects.
• Ability to manage change and adapt to new processes.
• Applicable area licenses.
• Strong leadership and team development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with PM and staff.
• Self-motivated with organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities while maintaining client relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day site activities and safety compliance.
• Direct field personnel per project plan and Suffolk methods.
• Communicate progress to Project Manager daily.
• Report issues promptly for cost-effective solutions.
• Build relations with clients and Suffolk team.
• Review and adjust schedules with PM and executives.
• Ensure baseline schedule aligns with contracts.
• Maintain project documentation and logs.
• Lead safety pre‑construction meetings and inspections.
• Attend turnover, coordination, and owner meetings.
• Manage subcontractor performance to quality and safety standards.
• Organize pre‑construction surveys and staging plans.
• Support accurate budgeting and staffing for safety programs.
