Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design and deliver complex data center infrastructure across physical and cloud-hosted environments, including networks, compute, storage, platform, middleware, and databases. You will partner with IT and business teams to assess requirements and drive standardized designs.

Responsibilities include lifecycle management, capacity planning, and ensuring SLAs are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree; 5+ years in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.
• Experience with data center infrastructure, networks, and cloud hosting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, architect, and deliver complex infrastructure designs for network, compute, telephony, platform, middleware, and database solutions.
• Own technology currency, lifecycle management, and capacity planning to meet SLAs.
• Define and maintain performance standards for scalability, resilience, and operations.
• Provide expert guidance on emerging technologies and vendor partnerships.
