Blue Cross NC is seeking an infrastructure architect to design and deliver complex data center and cloud infrastructure solutions, spanning network, compute, telephony, platform, and database domains. You will partner with IT, business stakeholders, and vendors to plan and implement scalable, secure designs while maintaining standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree.
• 5+ years of experience in related field; In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with Tomcat, Spring Boot, WebSphere Application Server.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to adapt in complex situations.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan, architect, and deliver complex infrastructure designs supporting network, compute, telephony, platform, middleware, and database solutions.
• Own technology currency, lifecycle management, and capacity planning to ensure infrastructure capabilities meet SLAs.
• Define and maintain hardware and software performance standards to ensure scalability and resilience.
• Provide technical guidance on emerging technologies and partner with vendors.
• Lead licensing, financial planning, and capacity initiatives for datacenter technologies.
• Consult with IT partners, business stakeholders, and vendors on network and data center decisions.
• Execute detailed infrastructure designs for large-scale initiatives with stakeholders and delivery partners.
• Ensure operational readiness through planning, tuning, and incident resolution.
• Provide expert guidance during complex production incidents for rapid resolution.
