Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to architect and deliver complex data center infrastructure designs spanning network, compute, telephony, platform, middleware and database solutions. You will own lifecycle management, capacity planning, and performance standards, providing expert guidance and partnering with vendors to align with architectural intent.

The role supports Hybrid-Flex or Remote-Flex work arrangements with in-person collaboration and a comprehensive Total Rewards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree.
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan, architect, and deliver complex infrastructure designs supporting network, compute, telephony, platform, middleware, and database solutions.
• Own technology currency, lifecycle management, and capacity planning to ensure infrastructure capabilities meet SLAs.
• Define and maintain hardware and software performance standards for scalability and resilience.
• Serve as an infrastructure SME, guiding emerging technologies and partnering with vendors.
