Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Chief Engineer to ensure peak operation of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems across our data center.

The role involves preventive maintenance, emergency response, and collaboration with Engineering Operations Technicians and vendors to uphold safety and efficiency. The CE will act as the on-site expert for facility operations, drive standard practices, and coordinate with Facility Manager to sustain high reliability,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience.
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for facilities-related issues and manage critical systems.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures within SLA.
• Provide training to Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinate with Facility Manager.
• Create and deploy new standard practices for teams and vendor support.
• Lead bi-annual fire drills and maintain site-wide fire safety.
