Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in the United States seeks a Sr Lead Technician to oversee installation and decommissioning of data center cabling infrastructure. You will manage multiple crews, coordinate schedules, and ensure safety and quality standards are met on live and new deployments.

You will read blueprints, perform structured cabling work, troubleshoot copper and fiber systems, and maintain accurate project documentation. Strong leadership and project-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead up to 15 technicians and coordinate crews.
• Proven skill in reading blueprints and building documentation.
• Experience with structured cabling in data center environments.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with field terminations and labeling.
• Ability to manage labor and materials and maintain paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement.
• Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders.
• Exhibit quality workmanship and maintain Data Center cleanliness.
• Follow production, safety and quality standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read and comprehend blueprints and build documentation/redline work.
• Understand Data Center infrastructure technologies and support deployments.
