Job summary

CBRE DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, seeks a Lead Cable Technician to oversee installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network cabling in data center environments. You will guide a crew of 1-5 technicians, ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

You will interpret blueprints and documentation and collaborate with stakeholders. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication, and a passion for mentoring

Qualifications

• Ability to lead a crew of 1–5 technicians.
• Strong communication with customers and stakeholders.
• Understanding of job safety requirements and field procedures.
• Ability to read floor plans and blueprints.
• Experience with copper and fiber cabling testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation/decommissioning of network cabling in data centers.
• Deliver repeatable solutions and drive process improvements.
• Provide feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain Data Center cleanliness and quality workmanship.
• Follow safety standards and industry practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read blueprints and redline documentation.
• Understand Data Center infrastructure technologies.
