Job summary

CBRE DIRECTLINE, a CBRE Data Center Solutions business, is seeking a Lead Cable Technician to oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network cabling within data centers. You will guide a 1-5 technician crew, ensure safety, and deliver high-quality results in collaboration with stakeholders.

You will read blueprints, manage field terminations, and contribute to project walks while maintaining paperwork and timesheets; strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a crew of technicians in data center projects.
• Ability to read blueprints and job floor plans.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and customer service.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber testing.
• Ability to manage timesheets and project paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement.
• Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders.
• Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness.
• Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
