Job summary

CBRE DIRECTLINE, part of CBRE Data Center Solutions, seeks a Lead Cable Technician to install and decommission network and cabling in data centers. You will lead crews, ensure quality workmanship, maintain cleanliness, and follow safety and industry standards while coordinating with stakeholders.

You will read blueprints, perform field terminations and labeling on copper and fiber, troubleshoot, and drive repeatable, efficient processes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a crew of technicians in a data center environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/building documentation.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in data center work.
• Experience with field terminations and labeling on copper and fiber.
• Familiarity with testing and troubleshooting copper and fiber cabling.

Responsibilities

• Install and decommission network and cabling in a Data Center environment.
• Deliver sustainable, repeatable solutions and drive process improvements.
• Provide structured feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain Data Center cleanliness and ensure high workmanship standards.
• Follow production, safety and quality standards, codes, and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Read blueprints and building documentation to guide work.
• Understand data center infrastructure technologies.
