Curaleaf is seeking a Principal Data & Analytics Engineer to lead the architecture and governance of its modern data ecosystem. This hands-on IC role will shape data platforms, mentor engineers, and influence across Data Engineering, BI, and Data Science teams.

You will drive scalable roadmaps, set standards for SQL, Python, and dbt, and partner with product owners to deliver reusable data products at scale.

Formación

• 8+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Architecture, or related field
• Experience as a senior technical lead or principal engineer across teams
• Strong Snowflake data architecture, performance, security, and cost optimization
• Advanced SQL and Python for data engineering, automation, and tooling
• dbt or similar SQL-first transformation framework experience
• Knowledge of modern analytical data models and reusable data products
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and environment management for data systems
• Ability to mentor engineers and align teams without formal people-management authority
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field

Responsabilidades

• Define end-to-end architecture across ingestion, Snowflake, dbt, and data services
• Translate business needs into scalable technical roadmaps and platform capabilities
• Establish boundaries for ingestion, transformation, semantic, and analytics layers
• Architect secure, scalable Snowflake environments for data products, BI, and data science
• Collaborate with engineering teams on workload management and production support
• Lead environment management, data access, and platform resilience initiatives
• Set standards for SQL, Python, dbt, pipelines, modeling, testing, and deployment
• Advance CI/CD, testing, and engineering quality across the data lifecycle
• Partner with product owners, data stewards, engineers, and scientists to build trusted data products
• Lead root-cause analysis and turn incidents into durable improvements
• Define data ownership, lineage, and data-use governance
• Communicate architecture and investment needs to stakeholders and leadership
