Curaleaf is seeking a Principal Data & Analytics Engineer to lead the architecture and platform strategy for its data ecosystem. This hands-on, senior IC role drives scalable data products across the organization and partners with business product owners and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in data engineering/architecture, strong Snowflake and dbt expertise, and hands-on Python, with a focus on governance, performance and reliable analytics at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Architecture, or related field.
• Senior technical lead or architect with influence across teams.
• Strong Snowflake expertise: architecture, performance, security, workload management, cost optimization.
• Advanced SQL and Python for data engineering and analytics workflows.
• dbt experience: project architecture, testing, deployment, and reusable modeling patterns.
• Modern analytical data models: staging, conformed dimensions, facts, marts, semantic models.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve end-to-end architecture across ingestion, Snowflake, dbt, Omni, Hex, and related services.
• Translate strategy into scalable technical roadmaps and platform capabilities.
• Architect secure, cost-effective Snowflake environments for data products and analytics.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analytics engineers, data scientists, and product teams.
• Lead environment management, data access, and platform resilience through engineering best practices.
• Advance Git-based workflows, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
