Job summary

Curana Health is seeking a dynamic Director of Data Engineering to design, build, and manage a modern data platform. You will mentor a team of data engineers, collaborate with IT and business stakeholders, and deliver scalable pipelines for reporting, analytics and data science.

The role focuses on data sourcing, governance, and rapid insight delivery, reporting to the VP of Data Strategy and Governance. A customer-focused, fast-paced environment is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering and related tools.
• 10+ years coding in SQL, Python, PySpark.
• 7+ years leading teams and projects.
• Familiar with CI/CD and DevOps workflows.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, and metadata.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers.
• Design and deliver scalable data pipelines for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on data sourcing.
• Ensure data delivery supports BI, analytics, and data science.
• Document procedures and establish guardrails for engineers.
• Evaluate new tools and techniques for data delivery.
• Oversee ETL development and data source onboarding.
• Guide end-user training on data access and use.
