Job summary

Fivetran is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to support our People organization, turning complex people data into actionable insights across recruiting, workforce planning, employee experience, learning and development, performance, and retention. You will partner with People, Recruiting, Finance, and engineering to build scalable analytics, establish definitions, and deliver dashboards and self-service tools.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Oakland, CA or NYC, NY with flexible remote work

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics, data science, BI, or related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling over large datasets.
• Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Sigma).
• Strong analytical judgment and data storytelling.
• Attention to data quality, governance, and privacy.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and own core People metrics across headcount, hiring, retention.
• Build scalable analytical products, datasets, dashboards for self-service.
• Translate analyses into narratives for leaders and engineers.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and responsible data use.
• Analyze complex datasets to surface opportunities and recommendations.
• Mentor analysts and promote analytical best practices.
