Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers, design production-grade data/AI solutions on the Databricks platform, and own end-to-end architecture.

You will lead technical delivery across data engineering, AI, and application development, work with cross-functional teams, and ensure scalable, secure solutions while delivering customer value and insights.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep Spark distributed computing experience.
• CI/CD experience for production deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps and AI models/APIs.
• Design and deploy end-to-end data architectures with ML/AI.
• Experience delivering technical projects with scoped timelines.
• Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience with enterprise clients and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel ~20%.
• Databricks Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead production‑grade solution delivery by designing reference architectures and data ingestion pipelines.
• Guide transformational big data projects end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Bootstrap or implement customer projects to ensure successful adoption of Databricks.
• Own architecture decisions to ensure security, scalability, and alignment with best practices.
• Collaborate with the Databricks technical team, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver findings.
• Provide product and implementation feedback to accelerate issue resolution.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver measurable impact.
• Contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts.
