Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to own architecture and deliver production-grade data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform.

You will lead design decisions, implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development, and work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and developer relations. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Production Solution Delivery: lead production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom apps, data ingestion and ML/AI integration.
• Transformational Impact: guide customers through end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data and AI projects.
• Empower Customers: advise on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement projects to ensure adoption of Databricks.
• Own the Architecture: lead architecture decisions ensuring secure, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with Databricks team to deliver engagement components meeting customer needs.
• Provide feedback to product teams for rapid issue resolution.
• Customer Immersion: embed with customer teams from ICs to executives to understand challenges.
• Create reusable assets and accelerators to scale impact across accounts.
