Job summary

Databricks is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deliver production-grade data and AI solutions for customers. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

You will work closely with customers, engineering, product, and developer relations to ensure successful outcomes with a strong emphasis on customer empathy and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of Spark and distributed computing.
• Familiar with CI/CD and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery by building reference architectures and data ingestion/ML integration.
• Guide transformational big data projects end-to-end with customers and engineers.
• Embed with customer teams to ensure architectural decisions meet security and scalability requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver impactful engagements.
