Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end data, ML/AI, and application solutions on the Databricks Platform, delivering production-grade deployments with strong customer empathy.

You will work across engineering, product, and customer teams, travel about 20% to meet with customers and accelerate value realization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Spark.
• Strong CI/CD, MLOps, and end-to-end production deployment experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery with reference architectures and data ingestion.
• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end data and AI applications.
• Embed with customer teams and manage stakeholder alignment across technical ICs to executives.
• Ensure secure, scalable architectures aligned with best practices and Databricks standards.
• Collaborate with Databricks teams to deliver engagements and provide feedback for product improvements.
