Job summary

Land O'Lakes seeks a Senior Dairy Business Advisor to serve as a trusted consultant for dairy member owners, focusing on profitability, risk management, and financial planning. The role develops and delivers customized risk management strategies and education, while partnering across the enterprise to create member value.

Ideal candidates will have deep industry experience and the ability to translate complex market data into actionable business decisions, traveling within the assigned territory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Dairy Science, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in the dairy or agricultural industry with expertise in risk management, agricultural finance, consulting, insurance, marketing, or business management.
• Proven track record of consultative sales, business development, and relationship management.
• Strong understanding of dairy farm financial statements, cost of production analysis, risk management strategies, and market fundamentals.
• Experience presenting complex financial and market concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and drive results across cross-functional teams.
• Licensed or able to obtain applicable insurance licenses as required.
• Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and delivery of dairy financial and risk consulting services.
• Develop customized risk management strategies and recommend solutions (DRP, LRP, forward contracting).
• Create thought leadership and educational materials for members and prospects.
• Serve as trusted advisor translating market and financial data into actionable decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with dairy member owners as primary advisor for financial and risk services.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to identify needs and develop tools and services.
