Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions seeks a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to protect systems and data, review incidents, and implement controls while mentoring staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (or 4+ years in related fields) with CISSP/CEH/CISM preferred and strong knowledge of SIEM, firewalls, cloud security, and regulatory standards. In-office role with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years related experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are highly desirable.
• Experience as a cyber security engineer or system administrator is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate detected cyber security incidents and risks.
• Determine the operational impacts of cyber security control failures.
• Develop, track, and present cyber security statistics and metrics for the assigned area.
• Respond to security breaches and incidents, by supporting less tenured cyber security personnel.
• Communicate business impacts and recommend remediation steps to decision makers.
• Develop and approve changes to cyber security procedures and systems.
• Apply knowledge of the latest cyber security trends to prevent risk to the business.
• Provide input to enterprise resiliency, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Build, maintain and promote relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Attend webinars and training to stay up to date on best practices.
