Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to protect our compute environments and data. The role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and responding to incidents across a complex, acquisition-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong security fundamentals, cloud experience (Azure/AWS), and familiarity with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience, or 6+ years equivalent.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP or AZ-500/AWS Security – Specialty are highly desirable.
• Experience as a cyber security engineer, system administrator, or cloud engineer.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies and cloud security.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO).
• Scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform) for automation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and design security architecture at scale.
• Plan and implement enterprise security for hybrid environments.
• Review vulnerabilities and risks.
• Respond to security incidents and mentor junior staff.
• Develop security metrics and reports.
• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity input.
• On-site attendance as required.
