Job summary

Proofpoint in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks a Sales Engineer to lead pre-sales for enterprise cybersecurity solutions. You’ll partner with the sales team, deliver live product demos, perform technical discovery, and drive Proof-of-Concept and production evaluations with mid-market and enterprise customers.

You’ll become an expert in Email Security, DLP, cloud security, and related frameworks while collaborating with Product and Engineering to keep Proofpoint at the forefront of the industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 6+ years in security-focused pre-sales or technical sales
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and present to technical and executive audiences
• Experience with enterprise or cloud security, email security, and data protection
• Familiarity with Proofpoint portfolio and ability to quickly learn new solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales engagements for mid-market and enterprise accounts
• Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations addressing cybersecurity threats
• Conduct technical discovery and plan, execute, and wrap up POC and production evaluations
• Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to tailor solutions to customer needs
• Provide customer insights to Product Management and Marketing to improve offerings
• Present at industry events and support professional services deployments when needed
