Job summary

Proofpoint, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer for the Data Security Group in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will be the technical lead in pre-sales, translating customer challenges into People-Centric solutions and leading POC/Production Evaluations with Account Teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of proven track record in sales engineering or related areas.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity market and Data Security/Insider Risk.
• Experience with core security solutions like DLP, CASB, Insider Threat, DSPM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present the big picture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Lead for Proofpoint pre-sales process.
• Collaborate with Sales Specialists and Account Teams on account penetration strategies.
• Be main technical point of contact with customers during process.
• Design and present complex People-Centric Security solutions including DLP, Insider Risk, and DSPM
• Support POC and Production Evaluations and assist in services deployments when needed
• Coordinate with Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product Management to ensure customer success.
