Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Engineer - Cybersecurity R&D to lead security initiatives for Junos-based networking products. The role blends hands-on engineering with strategy, focusing on secure routers, switches, and firewalls, and leveraging AI for defensive security.

Hybrid work with 2 days per week at an HPE office is offered. The candidate will drive certifications, threat modelling, static/dynamic analysis, and secure development lifecycle practices while collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or adjacent technical field.
• Typically 6–10 years of experience in cybersecurity or related area.
• Strong knowledge of networking security protocols (TLS, SSH, IPsec) and cryptography.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to security certifications such as FIPS 140, Common Criteria, and EUCRA.
• Develop and enhance product security capabilities including threat modelling, code analysis, and vulnerability management.
• Guide roadmap and execute security initiatives across engineering teams and product lines.
• Mentor junior staff and influence key stakeholders across engineering and management.
