Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a Principal Engineer for Cybersecurity R&D within the Junos Cybersecurity R&D org. This hybrid role requires working on average 2 days per week from an HPE office, guiding secure router and firewall development, and collaborating across functional teams.

You will lead security certifications, implement SDL practices, and explore AI-enabled vulnerability management to strengthen product security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or adjacent technical field.
• Typically 10+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead security certifications, including NIST FIPS 140, Common Criteria and EUCRA.
• Advance product security: gap analysis, threat modelling, static/dynamic analysis, pentesting, hardware security, AI-based vulnerability management.
• Define and drive the cybersecurity roadmap with senior leaders; oversee hands-on execution.
• Influence decisions of executives, engineering managers, platform teams, product lines, and customers.
• Provide mentoring to less-experienced staff to raise cybersecurity design and development standards.
