Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise invites applications for a Principal Engineer - Cybersecurity R&D. This hybrid role requires on-site work on average 2 days per week in our offices, leading security-focused initiatives within the Junos Cybersecurity R&D group of the Networking unit.

The position demands 10+ years of experience, deep cybersecurity expertise, and strong abilities in networking security, cryptography, and secure development practices. Relocation support is provided where eligible.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or adjacent technical field.
Typically 10+ years experience.

Responsibilities

Lead development of secure router, switches, and firewalls running Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved.
Drive product security capabilities including risk modelling, static/dynamic analysis, and vulnerability management.
Guide certification activities (FIPS 140, Common Criteria, EU CRA) and SDL practices across teams.
Collaborate with executives and engineering leaders to shape cybersecurity roadmap and execution.
Mentor junior staff and promote excellence in cybersecurity design and development.
