Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP in the United States is seeking an Engineer II for Cybersecurity R&D to join the Junos Cybersecurity R&D organization within the Networking business unit. This role is hybrid, requiring on average 2 days per week in an HPE office and a strong focus on secure router/switch development.

You will contribute to certification readiness, threat modelling, and secure development practices, collaborating with engineering teams to advance product security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or adjacent technical field.
• Typically 2–3 years experience in cybersecurity.
• Experience with networking protocols TLS, SSH, IPsec in product context.
• Proficiency in C and/or Python; Rust is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Support security certifications including FIPS 140, Common Criteria, and EUCRA.
• Develop and enhance product security capabilities through analysis, threat modelling, and testing.
• Contribute to security roadmaps and adopt new cybersecurity technologies.
