SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team onsite at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia. Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Candidates will develop cybersecurity requirements and lead efforts to address emerging threats within naval combat systems. Applicants should have DoD IA policy experience, IAT Level II certification, and strong communication skills for written and oral presentations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years program-specific security engineering experience in Navy afloat/tactical systems.
• IAT Level II DoD 8570.01 certification (or successor) or equivalent.
• Clear understanding of DoD IA policies and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research and coordination for DoD cyber assurance efforts.
• Lead groups to develop strategies against emerging threats.
• Analyze cybersecurity, intelligence and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Design, analyze, and document cybersecurity for combat systems.
• Develop risk assessment and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Create documentation of cybersecurity requirements, gaps, threats, and risk analyses.
