Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

The role focuses on developing cybersecurity requirements, risk assessments, and guidance for combat systems. The ideal candidate has DoD IA policy knowledge, Navy system experience, and stronger communication skills for presenting analyses and strategies.

Qualifications

• 5 years of program-specific security engineering with Navy afloat/tactical systems, or 10 years general security engineering.
• IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01 (or successor); Privileged User with JPAS T-5/T-R adjudication and OS/CE training within 6 months.
• Understanding of DoD IA policies for land-based and afloat/tactical systems; strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination for multiple classification levels.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Analyze cybersecurity, policy gaps, and information technology policy for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis, and documentation.
• Develop risk assessment and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap analyses, threat analyses, and system engineering.
• Use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
