Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. This role focuses on developing cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and risk mitigation for combat systems.

The candidate must hold an ACTIVE Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, have DoD IA policy knowledge, and communicate effectively in written and oral formats. Compensation ranges from $125k to $195k USD annually.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems OR ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• Minimum certification as IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01, or successor. Privileged users must also complete OS training and JPAS requirements.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, DoD IA policies, and ability to communicate clearly in written and oral presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis and coordination for DoD cyber assurance and policy efforts at multiple classification levels.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies to meet emerging threats.
• Perform analysis of cybersecurity, intelligence and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop cybersecurity risk assessment and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap/threat analyses, system engineering and risk mitigation actions.
