Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. The role is seated 100% on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA, with US citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.

Responsibilities include developing cybersecurity requirements and policy standards for combat systems, leading groups, and performing risk assessments. Education preferred is a Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, with compensation ranging from $125,000 to $195,000 USD annually.

Qualifications

• Five years of program-specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or ten years of general security engineering experience.
• Minimum DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II or higher certification.
• Privileged users must have a final adjudicated T-5/T-R with IT level-1 in JPAS and complete OS/CE training within six months of start date.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, DoD IA policies for land-based and afloat/tactical systems, and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination for multi-classification efforts.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Analyze cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis, and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap analyses, threat analyses, and risk mitigation for combat systems.
• Develop or use MBSE models for cybersecurity analysis.
