Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and US citizenship.

You will develop cybersecurity requirements for combat systems, lead strategy groups, and perform risk analyses to protect critical defense assets. The position emphasizes DoD IA policy knowledge, Navy combat system experience, and strong communication skills, with compensation ranging from $125,000

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program-specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems.
• Minimum IAT Level II certification per DoD 8570.01 or successor.
• Privileged users must have T-5/T-R with IT level-1 in JPAS and complete OS/CE training within six months.
• Solid understanding of DoD IA policies for land-based and afloat/tactical systems; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance for combat systems.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies to meet emerging threats.
• Perform analysis of cybersecurity, intelligence and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation of combat systems.
• Develop cybersecurity risk assessment analyses and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap analyses, threat analyses, system engineering, risk assessment and mitigation for combat systems.
• Develop MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
