Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer for 100% on-site work at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility are required. Expect responsibilities in security requirements, policy standards, risk assessments, and combat systems cybersecurity engineering.

Bachelors in Cybersecurity preferred; compensation ranges from $125,000 to $195,000 USD annually, with comprehensive benefits and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• Minimum certification as IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01, or successor.
• Privileged users must complete OS/CE training within six months of start date and have JPAS T-5/T-R designation where applicable.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, DoD IA policies, and communication of complex topics in writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis and coordination for multi-level classification efforts.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Perform analysis of cybersecurity, intelligence and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop cybersecurity risk assessment analyses and risk mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Develop documentation of cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, system engineering, risk assessment and mitigation.
• Develop or use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
