Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture that safeguards the organization's information systems and data.

You will lead security strategy, oversee governance, and ensure controls across on‑premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) while aligning with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and PCI/HIPAA where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Expertise in security technologies: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, DLP, endpoint protection, and encryption.
• Cloud security expertise (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, identity, and data protection.
• Architect and implement security controls for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure security standards and policies are met.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework with policies and standards.
• Lead incident response, including detection, analysis, forensics, and post-mortems.
