Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will lead strategy, govern security controls, and collaborate with leaders to align with business objectives.

The role requires 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years in leadership, strong knowledge of NIST/CIS/ISO frameworks, and hands‑on experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and cloud security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field. Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity; 5+ years in leadership or as architect.
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Proven experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with vulnerability management, incident response, and secure SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments (network, cloud, identity, data protection).
• Oversee security controls: SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, encryption; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive risk assessments and governance; mentor security engineers and analysts.
