Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of our comprehensive security architecture across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will guide strategic security initiatives, ensure regulatory alignment, and mentor security engineers.

The role requires strong leadership, deep expertise in security frameworks, and hands-on experience with risk management, incident response, and secure software development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field required.
• Significant experience designing and implementing security architectures.
• Experience with enterprise security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure).
• Proven track record in vulnerability management and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, and data protection.
• Oversee security controls for on-prem and cloud infrastructure with defense-in-depth.
• Conduct risk assessments for technologies and applications.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework and incident response plan.
