Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will lead risk assessments, governance, and the integration of SIEM/IDS/IPS and vulnerability management programs to protect critical systems.

You will collaborate with executives to define strategy, risk appetite, and incident response, while ensuring adherence to NIST CSF, CCPA, PCI‑DSS, and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity/IT/CS or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 in leadership/architecture roles.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Experience with security technologies: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, DLP, encryption.
• Cloud security expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IAM.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (CCPA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Certifications such as CISSP/CISM/CISA or AWS Security are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, endpoint security, and data protection.
• Architect and implement security controls for on‑premises and cloud infra.
• Conduct risk assessments of technologies and applications.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework and standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to define strategy, risk appetite, and incident response.
• Oversee integration of security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management).
• Ensure compliance with NIST CSF, CCPA, PCI-DSS, HIPAA.
• Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing with internal and external teams.
• Establish vulnerability management and incident response processes.
