Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design and implement a comprehensive security architecture across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will lead risk assessments, define governance, and guide incident response planning to protect critical logistics systems.

The role requires a deep understanding of security frameworks, strong leadership, and hands‑on experience with modern tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years in cybersecurity with leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS controls; applicable to large enterprises.
• Strong background in security architectures across network, cloud, data, and endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of enterprise cybersecurity architecture aligned with business goals.
• Design secure IT environments with emphasis on network, cloud, IAM, and data protection.
• Implement security controls for on‑premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments for new technologies and applications.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity governance, policies, and standards.
• Oversee incident response planning and coordination with stakeholders.
