Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead the CVI/CVD process team for ceramic matrix composites. You will develop SOPs, work instructions, quality specs and data-driven methods to improve property relationships and manufacturability.

The onsite role requires US citizenship, 10+ years in CVI/CVD, and proven leadership. You will drive data collection, SPC and TPM initiatives, uphold safety standards, and push for first-pass yield improvements across manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Master’s preferred.
10+ years in CVI or CVI/CVD process engineering; 7+ years with an advanced degree.
5+ years of leadership experience across management levels.
U.S. Citizenship required for access to the program/contract.

Responsibilities

Lead CVI process engineering, SOPs, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Develop CVI and CVD processes for ceramic matrix composites with safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
Design and improve manufacturing processes and digital systems to meet safety and lead-time requirements.
Drive data collection and analytics for CVI to support SPC and the digital thread for CMCs.
