Castelion Corporation in Torrance, CA, is seeking an R&D Technician to support its ceramic matrix composite (CMC) pilot line and operate CVD reactors. This hands-on role requires operating equipment, monitoring processes, and ensuring precise documentation and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate brings experience with complex machinery, aerospace composites, and instrumentation, and is prepared to work a swing shift (3:30pm–11:30pm) while collaborating with engineering teams on process

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years in hands-on mechanical/aerospace/manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and disciplined documentation.

Responsabilités

• Support ceramic matrix composite pilot line build and operation.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot chemical vapor deposition (CVD) reactors.
• Industrial equipment operation and maintenance.
• Assist process development of chemical vapor deposition process.
• Setting up and running cycles for material batches.
• Recording process data and noting production anomalies.
• Troubleshooting pilot line mechanical and electrical issues.
• Enforce safety protocols for furnace and heavy machinery operation.
