Job summary

Interplace, Inc. is seeking a Brokerage Operations Manager to oversee U.S. Customs clearance of imports. You will ensure filing accuracy and regulatory compliance, interfacing with the Customs Broker and CBP to resolve issues and maintain compliant records.

The role involves managing classifications, obtaining rulings when needed, auditing invoices, and mentoring staff on regulatory standards to support sales inquiries and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience with U.S. Customs clearance of imports and brokered filings.
• Familiarity with ACE updates and U.S. government regulatory requirements (CBP, ATF, EPA, FDA).
• Ability to audit, classify and verify import documents and billing.

Responsibilities

• Manage Brokerage Operations for U.S. Customs clearance of imports.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of document filings with U.S. Customs regulations.
• Interface with Customs Broker and CBP on import issues; maintain records per quality standards.
• Maintain classifications data base and obtain product rulings as needed.
• Code and verify customs billing and audit files; respond to CBP inquiries.
• Mentor brokerage staff on regulations and compliance; support inquiries from sales.
