Job summary

Hydro Aluminium Metal in Rosemont, IL, seeks a Senior Engineer for Customer Technical Support to drive technical sales of value-added metals. The role focuses on recycled and sustainable products, supporting customers with metallurgical expertise and CTS programs.

You will collaborate with sales, CTS leadership, and production units, traveling 30–50% to enable growth and maintain Hydro’s status as a preferred supplier in NA. Remote work options may apply.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or doctorate from an accredited University.
Material Science/Metallurgy background is required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the aluminum extrusion industry is desirable.
Willingness to travel as required supporting customers (30–50% travel).

Responsibilities

Promote technical sales and marketing of value-added Hydro metals.
Support CTS customers to ensure Hydro NA is the preferred supplier for all their value added and regular high quality metal needs.
Execute CTS programs with head of CTS and sales managers; assist the sales team with technical expertise.
Provide extensive metallurgical support and act as the communication link to production units.
